Why Winter Massage?
Baby, it's cold outside!
With those low temperatures come some very valid reasons to schedule massage sessions.
TOMORROWS massage therapist Fotiana shared that muscle tension is probably greatest during winter months. "My clients are sitting more, working more and stressed more at this time of year. After a massage session I they often say to me 'Why didn't I do this sooner?'"
Fotiana also cited the following winter circumstances as reasons to consider massage:
- Shoveling - Your back muscles are not used to the strain of our heavy snow. Find relief from soreness and stiffness with a professional massage.
- Sinuses - Proper technique promotes drainage and alleviates congestion.
- Cold-Weather Hunching - Whether walking the dog or dashing in from the parking lot, it's common hunch over to try and stay warm, resulting in shoulder, neck and back tightness.
